Kristen and Scott, the couple I want to marry!

Engagement photo shoots can be like pulling teeth. The first thing I have to explain to the couple, if they aren't into it, is that the shoot is for ME. It helps me get to know the couple and see how they are in front of the camera. Plus I feel like I can be more invested in them. And when I’m invested in them, the images come out that much better. By the time the wedding date rolls around, the couple knows me as well as I know them and they are comfortable and vulnerable. This is something that can really make for fantastic images complete with emotion and soul.

The great thing is both of my wedding packages include engagement photos. But with the bigger package you not only get the shoot, the best shots compiled into a “sign in” book for the wedding day. One less thing the couple has to think about.

Kristen and Scott are the kind of couple I could have only dreamed up. Fun, amazingly hot in the looks department, funky, a little crazy, and madly in love. Once they realized that I wasn’t going to pose them, they relaxed. I told them that I would hang out while they interacted. I basically said, “I’m not shy. Let yourselves just relax. I’ll shoot just about anything but actual sex.” That loosened them up and made them laugh. I have to say; these are some of the best images I’ve shot of a couple in a long time. I literally fell in love with the both of them by the end of the day.  Shit, I want to marry them!  Just awesome.
