"The Best is Yet to Come" - Formals from the pre-prom of Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall
A few weeks back I posted about how I want to take over the prom world during the month of May! I shot my first prom Goof Booth™ for Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall School in Waltham, Massachusetts. It was a ball. You can click HERE to see that post and be prepared to wish your prom formals looked like that. (sorry, but I love them so and really had no idea if the concept would even have worked, but it did) When I was offered the job of Prom photographer, the school requested that I do a photo shoot prior to the actual prom. Relaxed formals, if you will. Basically I think they wanted sometime similar to their senior portraits that I did back in October. To see those photos, click HERE. I was really kind of going for a more story telling fun vibe, less 'prom posed' stuff. So with the help of my dear friend Maura Kate Moore at irmalou photography, I think I was able to accomplish that. I couldn't have done it without her organizing the very large group shots. BTW, Maura is also responsible for my entire blog make-over and I could not have done THAT without her either.
Thanks Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall class of 2012, it was more than fun getting to know you and having you trust me with some very important photos. And class of 2013....I'll be seeing you this fall for your senior portraits.
Here are some samples from the formals we captured.
