Bowl Me Over - The marriage of Kim and Chris
A while back I was featured on Poptastic Bride for an engagement session that I did with an awesome couple. Kim and Chris! They met bowling and things moved fast forward directly to me for an engagement session. But wait...they weren't officially engaged but they did have a wedding date and venue set. After we sealed the deal and they asked me to be their photographer, Chris proposed to Kim a few weeks later at Disney World. They texted me right after it happened. I love that stuff, and I love them too. Kim and Chris were married in Hollis New Hampshire at the Alpine Grove. It was a beautiful place in the middle of the woods. It was HOT! We were all sweaty but it was soooo worth it. The day started with a getting ready at the couple's house, complete with a first look. It was so moving and the tears were flowing. Especially when Kim surprised Chris with a bowling pin tie clip. Very smooth if you ask me. Kim and Chris had their beautiful children by their side as they said I do and then danced the night away with one of my favorite DJ's, Dan Sky. (Who by the way, not only spins but sings his ass off for you as well). Another cool thing that happened was a skype call with Kim's sister who is stationed in Iraq. The connection was shaky but you could really see and hear her on Kim's phone. When all was said and done, and we were finished shooting my assistants and I threw our cameras down (not literally threw them of course) and joined in the festivities because well...that's how they roll...and I do too.
