Love at the Lenox Hotel - The Wedding of Mike and Siobhan
Many folks know that I found my voice in terms of wedding photography when I met a couple named Kristen and Scott. We are still friends to this day and I'm friends with some of their friends, including a spitfire Irish bombshell named Siobhan. She is a lot like me, says what's on her mind all the time. I adore her. While we didn't keep in touch like I do with her best friend Kristen, I considered her a friend. Imagine my surprise when she dropped me a line saying she was engaged to her boyfriend, Mike, and she wanted to hire me to photograph her wedding at the Lenox Hotel in Boston. While she wanted me to meet Mike and get to know him better as well as just chill a bit over the course of the months prior to their wedding, that wouldn't be possible because she was moving to Chicago to be with Mike. And that was that. I was booked to be a part of their day and the first time I met the Groom was about 10 minutes before they were to say "I do". Worked for me! Siobhan and Mike are couple that's destine to be together even if things didn't seem so in the beginning. They were on again off again for a minute. But one day things just clicked for them and they never looked back. You could tell on their wedding day that it WAS meant to be.
Siobhan and Mike were married on October 20th, 2012 at The Lenox Hotel in Boston Massachusetts. Siobhan was much more emotional (in a great way) that I imagined. She was surrounded by the support and love of her family, including her 10 brothers and sisters! Yes...you read that right. Eleven total! People came from all over to celebrate. Mike's buddies from Chicago were thick as thieves. All was right with the world on that day.
